The European Commission has set up the ODR platform for the alternative resolution of disputes between consumers and traders concerning online sales or service contracts. “Online sales or service contract”: a sales or service contract in which the trader, or their intermediary, offers, on a website or via other electronic means, goods or services which the consumer orders on the same website or via other electronic means (Regulation (EU) No 524/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 21 May 2013).
